PHASE TWO
Action

STEP 05

Analyzing, Interpreting, and Animating Evidence

In Step 05: Analyzing, Interpreting, and Animating Evidence, you will identify themes in your qualitative data and patterns or trends in your quantitative data to analyze, interpret, and make sense of your data and reach conclusions in relation to the evaluation questions.

You will turn this sense-making into learning that strengthens your program and improves the wellbeing of youth participants.

How can we make sense of all the data we've collected so far?

How can we bring it to life?

KEY TAKEAWAY

Unleash the power of data! Discover key themes and trends that reveal your program’s impact, helping you make smart choices to enhance youth wellbeing.

Take a critical approach to your analysis and ‘question the questions’.

For example, ask:

  • How do these meanings relate to intended outcomes?
  • What lessons have we learned about developing and implementing this program?
  • How have contextual factors impacted the development, implementation, success, and stumbling blocks of this program?
  • What are the hard-to-measure impacts of this program (ones that cannot be easily quantified)? How can we begin to effectively document these impacts?
